An interactive guideline that could expand the knowledge and perspectives of a migrant students on their future education path and career path.

Design
An interactive guideline that could expand the knowledge and perspectives of a migrant students on their future education path and career path.
The guideline is will show what are the possible careers that they can choose based on their interests.
Then the guideline will show what are the study fields that they should consider if they want to pursue one of those listed careers.
Then when they click on the gift box icon, they will see the requirements that they should prepare to get to study in the field that are suggested.
Inspiration
We got inspired to create this design by interactive prototype application called "Marvel App". Since different students have different interests, we thought that giving a number of options in the beginning and directing them on the topic that they picked would be great. So we chose to create an interactive guideline.
Limitation
Due to the insufficient technical knowledge and time constrained, the design was built with google slides. This does not fully guarantee that the user will get proper guidance since there will be other irrelevant slides existing in the same google slide.
Process
Observation
When we heard that there was a migrant school called Danyala Learning Center the three us (Myanmar students) formed a group. We wanted to meet the students and learned about their lives. So we contacted the school principal to ask permission to visit the school. During our first visit, we listened to the principle about how this school was started, what were the current situation and what role this school is playing for these migrant children.

Trust building
Then we planned to visit for the second time to meet only with the students and to learn about them. We chose the higher graders (6-8 grades and the young teachers) to be our participants.
In order to build trust between us, we prepared games and activities to play together. The trust that we built between us helped them felt comfortable to share what they thought during focus group time. We all enjoyed the session.

Data Synthesis and Brainstorming
We came back to analyze all the data that we have gathered. We learned that some of the students knew their interests or what they wanted to be when they grew up. Yet, they don’t know how to get there or what are the possible careers that they could pursue based on their interests. We decided to created an educational material to deal with this problem. So we came up with this interactive informational guideline to expend their perspectives on their future educational path and career path.

Feedback
When we asked the participants for the feedback, they said lines like:
"I can see my future and what i want to do."
"I now see more ways to study."
"It encouraged me to study harder."
Based on those lines we could say that they have got something from our prototype about their future education and career path.
They also suggested us to create it in Burmese language and add more detail about the the studies fields and the universities. We are planning to develop it further to be able to actually hand it over to them.
